About the Role


 


We are seeking experienced Auto Electricians with demonstrated experience maintaining and diagnosing earthmoving plant and equipment based in our Mobile Equipment Maintenance Division (Predominantly Newman Operations - Newman West) to conduct planned and/or breakdown maintenance and repairs, FIFO from Perth.  This role offers an 8/6 7/7 rotating day/night roster.


 


Our Mobile Equipment Maintenance Team, workshop based offers a variety of challenges based on the individuals' skills, and we can often tailor to the candidate's needs.  You will be exposed to some of the largest machinery in mining and provided plenty of opportunities to grow your skill base or your career if this is what you are after.   If you are a technician new to mining or an experienced technician looking for a career change, we look forward to hearing from you.


 


Responsibilities include:


 



  • Servicing, diagnosing, planned and breakdown maintenance on variety of mobile plant and equipment - Predominantly Cat 793F trucks and Cat 785 watercarts

  • Following scheduled planned / breakdown maintenance and carrying out inspections on equipment as required

  • Execute work orders as per schedule and to a high standard

  • Completing inspections and repairs as per the maintenance strategies 

  • Scoping and creating 1SAP notifications for preventative work 

  • Contribute to a positive team culture, working to a high degree of safety at all times, without question


 


About You


 



  • Trade Qualified Auto Electrician 

  • Previous experience in mining, or a transferrable industry with larger sized earthmoving equipment desirable but not essential

  • Cat knowledge highly desirable, however not essential 

  • Autonomous experience also desirable however not essential

  • Highly safety focussed

  • Team focussed, with a positive team oriented nature

  • Autonomous work ethic 

  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team
