Job Responsibilities

Macmahon Surface Mining Australia is expanding at Byerwen and seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to support the reliability and performance of our mobile fleet. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a strong safety culture, ensuring equipment availability, and delivering maintenance activities in line with operational schedules. The role involves completing high‑quality repairs to OEM standards, applying sound engineering practices, and fitting, servicing and repairing alternators, starter motors and air‑conditioning systems. About the role

• Champion a strong safety culture by motivating your team to uphold high performance standards
• Drive maximum availability and reliability across all mobile equipment on the Byerwen Project
• Deliver work in line with operational schedules and broader strategic plans Complete repairs in accordance with OEM specifications and recognised engineering best practice
• Fit, service and repair alternators, starter motors and air‑conditioning systems with a high level of technical accuracy

About you

• Current Electrical license or degree in electrical engineering 
• Australian recognised Trade Certificate
• Proven experience in working with high voltage electrical systems
• Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to high voltage work
• Current C Class Drivers Licence
