The Surface Mining Maintenance team at St Ives have an opportunity for an Auto Electrician to join their team.
Role Details
Reporting to the Supervisor: Mechanical Mobile, you will be operating out of a well-equipped and supported workshop as part of a large and cohesive team. You will be responsible for providing high quality auto-electrical preventative maintenance, diagnostic and repair services, on a large fleet of modern surface mining, ancillary and support equipment.

This role is offered on 8 days , 6 days off roster day shift only and would require the candidate to be residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie region.

About the role:
Ensure the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets by practicing preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repair of surface mining equipment
Support the efficient operation of the surface maintenance facilities by providing reliable and accurate maintenance knowledge, expertise and practical application, to minimise down time and subsequent loss of production
Maintain a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures and ensure that these are consistently adhered to when carrying out maintenance tasks
Maximise return on assets through effective utilisation and care of surface mining maintenance equipment and tools, with due consideration of safety and environmental issues
Complete all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing of maintenance orders, recording of labour time, etc. through AMT, SAP and other relevant information management systems
Actively support on the job Training of Apprentices
About you:
Recognised Auto Electrical Trade Qualification & Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical (Air conditioning)
Previous experience in a Surface Mining environment
Extensive knowledge of surface mining technologies and equipment including Komatsu, Caterpillar, Sandvik and Volvo
Experience with Underground Mobile Equipment advantageous but not essential.
Sound diagnostic experience
HR Truck Licence, Dogging, Rigging, First Aid and Forklift Tickets would be highly regarded
