We’re a family-run business, deeply rooted in values that span generations. As we expand, we’re looking for a 3rd Year or 4th Year Apprentice Welder to join us on this exciting journey and play a pivotal role in the future of Rombola Family Farms.

About the Role:

As a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Welder, you will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in welding, fabrication, and repair work in our agricultural machinery and equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their skills in welding while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks on farm equipment, structures, and machinery.
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment and machinery.
  • Follow blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to complete tasks accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Troubleshoot welding issues and assist with project planning.
  • Collaborate with senior welders and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in welding techniques.

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Currently enrolled as a 3rd or 4th Year Welding Apprentice or equivalent.
  • Proven interest in welding, fabrication, and mechanical work.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with welding equipment and machinery is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.
