Aurizon is seeking two Apprentice Signal Electricians to support the installation, maintenance and repair of signalling and wayside equipment across the Central corridor, with roles based in Whyalla, Alice Springs or Darwin.
Working under the supervision of qualified Signal Electricians, you will assist with inspections, fault finding, testing, commissioning and corrective maintenance to support the safe and reliable operation of rail signalling infrastructure. This role provides structured on‑the‑job training aligned to the rail signalling trade pathway.
As part of your apprenticeship, you will also spend time with the Rollingstock team working on locomotive electrical systems.
The role includes travel within the region and occasional call outs due to the critical nature of signalling assets.
About you
You are motivated to complete an electrical apprenticeship and build a long‑term career in rail signalling.
No previous rail or signalling experience is required. Full training and supervision will be provided.
