We, at COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS is seeking an individual  to commence a Flooring Apprenticeship, working full time.  This 4-year apprenticeship is designed to provide you with the practical skills as a floor finisher at an entry level qualification.

Our host client, a highly recognised supplier in this industry is based in Townsville and now seeking an individual who is fit and keen to learn, reliable and hard working.

The apprenticeship will include :

• Receive and prepare floor covering materials


• Handle dangerous goods/ hazardous substances


• Read and interpret work documents


• Plan and cost flooring technology work


• You are able to further specialise in many areas like timber, carpet, concrete, laminates, vinyl


• Preparing flooring for new installations

Working Hours :  Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm with overtime available

Requirements:

• Must have a genuine interest in this apprenticeship


• Have good communication skill


• Enjoy practical work


• Physically fit


• Manual Driver’s licence


• White Construction Card


• Be able to pass a pre employment medical including a drug and Alcohol test

Who We Are?

Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
