About the role We are seeking applications from technically minded people, who are interested in gaining an apprenticeship within our underground fleet crew. This is an opportunity to turn your interest in mechanics into a long-term, rewarding career and gain a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade. This will be on a 14/7 or 8/6 roster.
If successful, you will have the opportunity of a long-term career, working under the guidance of our team of highly skilled and experienced Fitters. You will be taught various techniques & skills over a four-year apprenticeship that will lead to the completion of a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade. Along with this, you will acquire skills and knowledge in workplace communication, environment health and safety, quality procedures systems and planning, engineering measurement, computations and computer technology as well as drilling specific skills in the trade.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
Minimum year 11 high school completion with a pass in both Math & English.
Mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in mechanics (please highlight this on your application).
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to customer satisfaction, safety and quality of work.
Reliability to attend TAFE as required and complete all assigned tasks given.
Current Australian Manual Driver’s License
Reside in Western Australia
