Job Description

We have an exciting vacancy in our workshop for an apprentice fitter. If you have a passion for all things mechanical and want to be trained in the hydraulics trade then position is for you. This role will teach you the hydraulic fitting trade and build your product knowledge through on the job training.

Job tasks include but are not limited too:

  • Assist in building and maintenance related activity as required.
  • Always maintain a clean work area.
  • Building Hydraulic assemblies to the required standard as per direction and guidance of colleagues.
  • Reaching the required level of competence in welding and machining.
  • Test hydraulic systems as per the circuit to ensure functionality requirements.
  • Commit to completing the trade school portion of the relevant apprenticeship.

Qualifications

  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Completed High School Years 10, 11 or 12
  • Those already enrolled in a Cert III in Mechanical Engineering are also welcome to apply.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good numerical skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • A good listener who is willing to learn.
