Your role

First and foremost, we want you to succeed and grow with Darrell Lea. This is why we will invest into your initial and ongoing training to build your competencies and confidence to make the right decisions and work safely in our safety critical environment.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a hard-working person who has a genuine interest in developing a career in a fast-paced FMCG business. You will need to be willing to complete On the Job Training, and dedicate time towards completing the Certificate III Mechanical Engineering course.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under supervision, carry out repairs and scheduled maintenance to our site, machinery, and systems
  • Assist with daily checks, lubrications, machinery testing, fault identification etc
  • Meet quality, safety and engineering standards on a consistent basis
  • Work is checked and any defective work corrected before being passed on for completion
  • Complete paperwork in a timely manner
  • Collect evidence for assessment, complete unit standards, online learning, and block courses.

Your skills

  • An eagerness to learn, solve problems and have a high level of enthusiasm
  • A natural curiosity towards how things work, how they’re maintained and repaired
  • Basic computer skills and comfortable adapting to different technology
  • Good level of verbal and written communication skills.  Able to follow instructions, and ask questions when unsure
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical prior to employment

You will receive excellent on the job training alongside our current maintenance team who are keen to pass on their skills and knowledge.
