Our Opportunity

Due to exponential growth, Nepean Power is currently seeking multiple apprentice electricians to join the team. This opportunity is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Thornton, NSW. Daily duties will include however are not limited to;

  • Interpret Electrical Schematics and scopes of work
  • Control and power wiring of electrical equipment
  • Fault finding and function testing of electrical equipment
  • AS3800 level overhaul of intrinsically safe control equipment
  • Providing high quality workmanship on time and on budget
  • Maintain calibration of test equipment
  • Ensure all equipment, machinery and tooling is kept in good working order
  • Document control and progress reporting
  • Liaise with supervisor to set priorities and meet deadlines

 

The Right Person

  • Rights to work in Australia
  • The ability to work individually or in a team environment
  • Drivers License
  • Completed/completing the HSC or Pre-Apprenticeship course
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in the electrical industry.
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail

  • Cover letter – introducing yourself and your reasons for applying.

  • Copies of the last two years of school, TAFE or university results.
  • Copies of any qualifications achieved (Forklift ticket, First Aid etc.)
