The Role

BGIS is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated Apprentice Electrical Technician to join our Self Perform team in Parramatta. This is your chance to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience across planned and reactive electrical maintenance while working toward your trade qualification. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians supporting the delivery of safe, reliable, and compliant electrical services across client facilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist with installation, servicing, and maintenance of electrical systems
• Support inspections and testing of RCDs, emergency lighting, and switchboards
• Assist with fault finding and repairs under supervision
• Learn to use electrical test equipment and digital service tools
• Help prepare work records, timesheets, and basic estimates
• Participate in general facility maintenance tasks
• Build positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Collaborate with BGIS teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Actively complete all apprenticeship training requirements
• Follow all WHS and safety procedures on site

Your Education, Experience & Skills

• Year 10 School Certificate or higher
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude
• Strong willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Safety-focused mindset
• Australian working rights (essential)
• Pre-apprenticeship in Electrotechnology (Desirable)
