We are proud to have a dedicated workforce that is progressive and diverse, and we are always looking for great people to join our team. We have opportunities for an apprentice diesel mechanic to join our team learning hands-on with mobile heavy plant while completing your Certificate III.

 
About the opportunity 
Reporting to our Workshop manager, as part of your apprenticeship you will be trained in: 

• Diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
• Maintenance and servicing of mobile heavy plant and equipment.
• Working with hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and cylinders
• Planned maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Basic electrical fault-finding on plant equipment
• Mechanical repairs to drivetrains, transmissions, and braking systems
• Safe work practices, isolation procedures, and workshop standards
• Keeping accurate and up to date records such as plant logs, service records, timesheets and other documentation as required.
• Following and ensuring safe operating procedures at all times.

About you
To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

• Have completed your first year of apprenticeship
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable, punctual, and safety focused
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated understanding of working with OH&S procedures.
• Drivers’ license (HR license preferred.)

Shortlisted candidates will need to complete a pre-employment medical assessment.
