Decorar Concrete Solutions are a small business providing both commercial and residential aggregate concrete and they're looking for an Apprentice Concreter to join the team!

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for a motivated individual interested in building a career within the Building and Construction sector. The successful candidate will be enrolled to complete a Certificate III in Concreting, supported by Decorar Concrete Solutions and a nominated Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

As an apprentice, you'll be supporting the team with a number of duties including: 

• Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites, including setting up forms, leveling surfaces, and ensuring areas are clean and safe.
• Mixing Concrete: Learn to measure and mix materials such as cement, sand, gravel, and water to create concrete to specified proportions.
• Pouring and Spreading: Help pour, spread, and level concrete into prepared forms and molds.
• Finishing Work: Gain skills in smoothing, texturing, and finishing surfaces using trowels, floats, and other tools.
• Reinforcement Installation: Assist in setting up and securing steel reinforcement such as rebar and mesh.
• Repair Work: Learn to identify and repair cracks, holes, and other concrete defects.
• Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely under supervision.
• Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations on-site to protect yourself and others.
• Team Support: Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete tasks efficiently.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Ability to use initiative and follow instructions
• Willing to learn 
• Reliability and good time management skills
• Driver's license and reliable transport
• A White Construction Card
