NRMA Darlington Beach Holiday Resort is a sprawling 110 acres of beachside rainforest.  It is located just 20-minutes north of Coffs Harbour on the Mid North Coast of NSW.

The Resort offers a large range of camp/caravan sites and accommodation options, from Villa’s, to Glamping Tents.  Nestled right on the beach, we offer a multitude of facilities for the young and young at heart; a water park, resort style pools, lawn bowls, archery, nine holes of golf and our licenced on-site bistro. 

What you will do:

A rare opportunity awaits!!  We are looking for someone who is keen to join our kitchen team as a 1st year Apprentice Chef.

 You will work closely with and be supported by our team of talented and innovative Chefs, to develop your skills and kickstart your career.  This role involves practical work in the kitchen and study as part of our partnership. You’ll have the opportunity to progress your hospitality career learning new skills and building your knowledge, working with a great team, who are passionate about what we do!  Ideally, you will have some experience gained from working in a café, fast food or restaurant setting.

You must have full work rights in Australia to be eligible.

TAFE attendance is a must, along with flexibility in regards to shifts, that may include, weekends, public holidays, and rostered shifts across mornings and evenings. 

What you will bring:

• Demonstrated  passion for food, cooking and fresh produce 
• An understanding of the type of work carried out in commercial cookery 
• A can do attitude with the drive to work effectively as part of a busy team 
• Great communication skills and an ability to interact with people at all levels 
• The ability to listen, follow instructions and retain new information 
• A desire to learn new skills in a fast-paced working environment 
• Basic skills in mathematics to assist you in the kitchen (Year 10 level or equivalent)
