About the role:
You will be required to assist in the production of delicious food and service whilst learning on the job as well as attending training days off site. Work alongside qualified international chefs, gaining a solid foundation for your career.
Duties:
• Assist with maintaining a la carte, hot or cold larder section
• Prepare and present food functions and buffet and carry out any specific guest requests for variations
• Follow all workplace and HACCP procedures in regard to food handling and preparation
• Follow all recipes and other food preparation methods as directed by the Senior Chefs
• Attend and participate in all scheduled off site training sessions
Skills and Experience:
• Passion for cooking, dedication & willingness to learn
• Great communication skills
• Successful completion of a pre-vocational course and/or previous experience in a kitchen environment as a kitchen hand or cook
• Knowledge of kitchen operation and procedures
• Reliability and team orientated
