Fitzroy Island Resort is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our culinary team as an Apprentice Chef. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items
- Learn how to use kitchen equipment and tools
- Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
- Learn about food safety and hygiene practices
- Complete practical training and assessments as part of your apprenticeship program.
- Attend TAFE for additional studies and certification as required.

- Must be 18+ as living on the island is a requirement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some experience in a kitchen environment preferred
- Passion for food and cooking
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
