Apprentice Boilermaker
Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Boilermaker to join our dynamic team in Rocklea, Ashover Road, Queensland. This permanent, full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry. As an Apprentice Boilermaker, you will learn essential skills in metal fabrication and assembly, contributing to the production of high-quality automotive components.
About the Role
As an Apprentice Boilermaker, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople while developing your skills and completing your apprenticeship.
You will gain hands-on experience in:
- General metal fabrication
- Welding using MIG and TIG
- Chassis modifications to new and used trucks
- Chassis extensions and shortening
- Fabrication and installation of truck bodies
- Building Tipper Bodies, Curtainsiders, Beavertails and Flat Trays
- Reading and understanding drawings
- Learning to interpret CAD drawings
- Using a range of workshop tools and equipment
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Completing job paperwork and record keeping

Previous workshop, welding or fabrication experience is advantageous but not essential.
