Job Description

Working under a qualified Technician, you will perform day-to-day service and warranty tasks.

Are you a natural problem solver with a knack for maths? Do you enjoy hands-on work and have a mechanical mindset? If you are drawn to operating, installing, and servicing electrical goods, an Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Apprenticeship might be the perfect challenge for you!

We have an exciting opportunity for a 3rd-year apprentice to join our Customer Care team through 1300 Apprentice. This role offers comprehensive industry knowledge and skill development in the installation, service, and maintenance of domestic and commercial air conditioning systems. You’ll work on various sites for large companies across Australia, experiencing something new every day. The position is based in Melbourne, with working hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Assisting with the installation, repair, service, and maintenance of HVAC equipment in residential and commercial settings.
  • Combining supervised on-the-job learning with theoretical work at TAFE.
  • Working at heights and using general hand tools and industry-specific equipment.

Qualifications

  • Mechanically minded
  • Motivated to learn and gain new skills
  • Able to problem solve
  • Good attitude
  • Good communication skills and customer service experience.
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • Electrical/Mechanical experience would be advantageous but not necessary.
  • Clean Australian Driver’s licence.
  • White Card
