CMI Toyota is always on the lookout for experienced and knowledgeable mechanical experts who are interested in joining our team as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic. Whilst we’re not hiring for a specific role right now, we know that great people don’t always wait for job ads! That’s why we invite you to express your interest in future opportunities across any of our four locations – West Terrace, Cheltenham, Christies Beach and Stepney.
In this role, you’ll apply your substantial knowledge to service and repair our customers’ vehicles. With a keen focus on productivity, safety, and quality, no two days will be the same in your new role as you use your problem solving skills to diagnose and solve a range of challenges.

What you’ll be doing
In your new role (when the time comes) as an Automotive Technician (Mechanic), you’ll be responsible for:
Servicing, repairing and maintaining a diverse variety of vehicles
Focusing on manufacturer, internal and customer service standards
Providing the highest level of workmanship, often solving challenging problems
Staying on top of the latest changes by participating in Toyota Training to keep your skills current
Most importantly, you’ll be working as part of a broader workshop team where quality, safety and teamwork matter.

About you
In this role, you’ll bring:
Hands-on experience in the automotive industry, Toyota experience is a bonus
A solid understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics
A relevant Certificate III qualification or above – this one’s essential
A natural mechanical aptitude and a commitment to doing the job right first time
An eye for detail and a pride in your workmanship
A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to keep learning and growing
A current drivers license (also essential)
