About the Opportunity


First-year apprentices pursuing the MEM30205 Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Mechanical Fitter ZA) program, who will join our expanding team next year. This opportunity also includes the chance to start as a Trades Assistant in December.


 


Your responsibilities in this role will include;


 



  • Troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on a range of hydraulic equipment

  • Assisting trades people in the workshop

  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

  • Develop a good understanding of fits, finishes and tolerances

  • Maintain apprentice log book to a high standard


 


About You



  • Minimum Year 10 high school certificate

  •  Exhibit a genuine passion for their chosen trade,( Demonstrated through prior work experience or personal hobbies and interests )

  • Have an overriding commitment to health, safety and environment responsibility as well as a driver’s license -

  • Good mathematical and mechanical skills and an enjoyment for technical work

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication skills and customer centric mind-set

  • Ability to work independently and part of a team

  • A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine desire to learn and develop.
